Audacious Amazon’s Gaze Makeup Look

I’m already seeing love bugs ubiquitously (my poor car) and Spring isn’t here yet. If you live in Florida, you know it’s been cold one day, and in the high 80’s the next day. With a bit of luck, this weekend will be nice and clear for AllStar festivities 😉
Now, on to my look! I’ve been incorporating pastel colors into my wardrobe (especially my blazers), and as well as my makeup this week. In search of some Spring inspired eyeshadows, I came across my L’Oreal Project Runway L.E. palette. This palette was featured in my drugstore haul post many moons ago *I will link the post below *.This palette came out last year sometime, along with 3 other palettes. I love all the colors, excluding the yellow. The yellow appears ashy on my complexion, so I didn’t even bother using it. The remaining colors are beautiful, with different finishes. The green and coral are a shimmer finish, and the purple is a matte finish. Furthermore, the green looks like a dupe for Mac’s Lucky green, and the coral looks like Mac’s Paradisco. So, if you missed out on this palette, no worries! There are plenty of dupes you can use.

Peacock Plumage

Happy Monday! I’m ecstatic for a fun-filled week & weekend. For those who live in Orlando, are aware that this week is AllStar week. Many celebrities are in town, and will be out & about the city.

I would love to see Beyonce, or even Lala Anthony lol. On the other hand, I’ve recently de-poted some eyeshadows into empty palettes, to make space for future purchased products. I came across Mac’s eyeshadow in Plumage, and was decisive to put it to use. I adore this color, but it’s so difficult to get it to its true color on the skin. So, I used NYC cream eyeliner (Teal) to give Plumage something to stick to. And voila! It worked like magic. I listed the other products used below 😉

Olivia’s Walk Away Makeup Look

In an attempt to relieve my boredom, I tend to get on the computer and watch YouTube videos. To my surprise, I came across Olivia’s Walk Away music video.  To refresh some minds, Oliva was once signed to 50cent’s G-Unit label. She’s also on VH1’s Love and Hip Hop.
This girl is exceptionally talented (I wish she could dance ), and beautiful. In the video, she has several makup looks, but only 1 stood out to me. In one scene, she’s wearing a gold & brown smoky eye, paired with a pastel orange lip. I searched high and low in my makeup stash for this lip color. The closest color I had, was my color corrector from my Victoria’s Secret concealer palette. Talk about creative….lol. I listed all products below.

Amber Rose Makeup @ The 2012 Grammys

Where do I began? So much has happened over the weekend. We lost an amazing, talented singer, and mother in my head, Whitney Houston. I actually received the news from a friend/sales associate at Saks, while doing some shopping. It still feels surreal. You will truly be missed Whitney! R.I.P Whitney.

Despite the tragic news on Saturday, I know everyone tuned into the 2012 Grammys on Sunday. Whitney Houston was paid tribute throughout the entire night. And Jennifer Hudson did a superb job on singing, “I will Always Love You”. There were other illustrious performances, but I was actually ONLY anticipating Adele’s performance *I heart her *. Every time that woman sings, I get goose bumps. She’s so AMAZING! It even looked like she shed a few lb’s. All I was saying is, “Adele is BACK!!!!!!” lol. And indeed, she is 😉

Amber Rose was a knockout last night. She kept it to a minimal, wearing a yellow Versace dress, with small diamond earrings. Her makeup was flawless and neutral, with a pop of color on the lips. I knew I had to re-create this look, with Spring just around the corner. I listed all the products I used below.

Valentine’s Day Inspired Nails

Valentine’s Day is literally tomorrow, and I know many people will be spending quality time with their significant other. I on the other hand, will be working *by choice *, and so will my honey. I wanted to give you dolls a Valentine’s Day inspired nail look.

I love to change up my nails for special occasions, and these colors will definitely be on my nails. I used OPI’s Pepe’s Purple Passion, and OPI’s Divine Swine from the Muppet collection. Both nail lacquers are great, when applied alone, but applying both just make your nails POP even more. I just hope my nails don’t chip, when I bake cookies & cupcakes for my co-workers tomorrow morning. Later dolls!

What nail lacquer will you be wearing on Valentine’s Day?

Viva Glam Nicki Review and Swatches

On Monday, I was trying to recuperate from the Super Bowl party my sister had at her house the day before. Lets just say, I had way…… too much fun! Despite of my world being a bit blurry, I was happy to find the UPS guy at my door, holding a package.
I don’t even recall, signing my name correctly. I knew exactly what I was getting ready to open. My Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick!!!!

I absolutely love this lipstick. If you can recall, Nicki launched her first MAC lipstick called, “Pink Friday” in 2010. I didn’t purchase it, but a good friend of mine did. I tested her lipstick, and I HATED it. It appeared on my lips as chalky, and no matter how much I moisturized my lips, they looked chapped. This second time around, I have to say Nicki nailed it. I don’t even have a pink lipstick this color, to compare it to. MAC describes it as a satin lipstick, and a vibrant medium pink with subtle yellow undertones that give it a kiss of coral. I applied this lipstick, after filling in my lips with NYX lip-pencil in, “Natural”. This lipstick will be available to everyone in the U.S. on February 9th for $14.50. Remember, 100% of the proceeds go directly to the MAC AIDS Fund, which is dedicated to raising HIV/AIDS awareness.

Will you be purchasing this lipstick?
